Christmas is soon and Star Wars is happening 24/7 in our flat, so we decided to combine these things and make a little DIY. First of all we need to thank our reader Caro, who inspired us by showing us this website and their great Star Wars snowflakes. Our flat is super small (like most of the flats in London we guess), so instead of putting paper snowflakes on our petit windows, we decided to do candle coasters instead. All you need for the DIY is:
1. paper scissors
2. glue
3. cutting knife
4. glossy paper in red and gold (size A4)
5. self-adhesive transparent paper
6. cutting board
7. Star Wars snowflakes (download them HERE)
The steps are very easy: Download the Star Wars flakes of your choice (we went for Stormtrooper, Darth Vader and Tie Interceptor), print them out and fold them first in half, then again to a quarter and once again. Cut all the grey parts out, some with the scissors and some with the knife. Don't worry if you don't cut them a 100% perfect. Unfold your snowflake and stick it down to the red/gold glossy paper. Now you need to take the self-adhesive transparent paper and put it on the top of what you had so far. Now cut the outlines again. And here we go, your Star Wars candle coaster are ready for Christmas! :)
x and love from the 'broken-cookies planet'.
